Programs

The vision of the Gary Green Foundation is to be the leading advocate for an equitable return to society by ex-offenders. Additionally, the Gary Green Foundation will provide fair and equitable distribution of social services, including mental health and wellness-focused initiatives to formerly incarcerated individuals while fostering an environment that equips them with all the tools to become upstanding members of communities across the country (with an emphasis on the Gulf South) upon their release. As a community development, workforce development, and educational training organization, the Gary Green Foundation will provide the necessary resources to committed individuals looking to take advantage of the complete restoration of their personal and individual rights.

Faith-based and community organizations will play a vital role in this initiative by serving as mentors and assisting us with referring ex-offenders to other needed supportive services. The Gary Green Foundation strives to improve equal and equitable conditions through our work by serving individuals who might not otherwise have access to resources and opportunities that will move forward their aspirations, ambitions, and goals. Additionally, the Gary Green Foundation will prioritize and promote conversations and solutions-driven outcomes that improve social justice and equity throughout the communities it serves.

Gary and Shawntele Green will oversee and coordinate The Gary Green Foundation. Gary is an exceptionally vigorous and keen leader. He projects a personality that captures the mind of students and demonstrates excellent classroom management skills. Gary has forty-eight years of experience with automotive repairs. This experience, coupled with twenty(+) years of a background in business administration, business management, customer services, and marketing at Star Automotive, has equipped them with the skills and hands-on experience to create an environment that fosters successful learning. We will also seek to develop relationships with volunteers who have experience working with the formerly incarcerated and individuals who need support with reentry.
